If you haven’t noticed by now, I’m all about a good co-creation experience on Earth.  We are here to thrive!!! And raised the vibration of the planet which is sorely needed.

I’ve told you my story of finding my life purpose (and how to find yours too) and today we will talk about how to get started on your dreams, whether or not you know what your life purpose is.

The first step is feeling into the itch of wanting MORE.

Creating the life of your dreams starts with dreaming BIG. And greatness lives inside each and every one of us.

That includes YOU.

We were all blessed with gifts and talents, and we have these gifts for a reason! So let’s spend our time cultivating those gifts so that we can be in flow with our true natures.

  1. Dream BIG: "It was all a dream" is the first line to Notorious BIG's famous song, Juicy. And that's how it starts. Allow yourself to visualize whatever it is you want to see happen. And if you're not sure, feel the feelings that you want to feel. For me, those feelings include freedom, fulfillment, abundance, and love. Not too much to ask, eh?
  2. Believe: you got to believe it to achieve it. Your ego mind wants to talk you out of things, such as not having enough time or money to get started. That's its way of keeping a hold on you. It's just a voice. You don't have to listen to the fear and you can believe better. You are the only person who can do this work and it's so worth it!
  3. Try something on for size: perhaps you are not sure of what you want to achieve yet, or how exactly you want to express your energy in terms of your purpose or dreams. Try things on! See what you like. You might surprise yourself :)
  4. Take small steps: Yes, the first step is to dream BIG and you wanna know what helps you get there? Taking small, consistent steps. It doesn't have to perfect.  Nobody is excellent when they start something. You'll get better with time. And your people will find you!
  5. Remain consistent: Even when it seems like there is no movement in what you are doing, remember that there are forces outside of yourself that are assisting you, aka the universe. Things change, planets move, we grow, and things actualize.
  6. Surround yourself with supportive people:  and let go of those who don’t support you. Even if it’s just for a season. One thing I realized in my own story, was that before I got started on my dreams, I had to let go of three friends that were holding me back spiritually. And even though I hadn't formulated my career dreams yet, I know now that if I had held onto them, the energy I would have spent on those friendships would have hindered me from pursuing my dreams. Energy is neither created nor destroyed. Use your energy wisely. Make sure your tribe supports you.
  7. Make every step fun: it's only worth getting out of your comfort zone if you are having fun along the way. Every time I write a post, I have so much fun doing it. I lose track of time making Pinterest pins about my blog posts. If people see it, then great! And if not, well at least I had fun doing it :)
  8. Take necessary risks: Getting outside of your comfort zone means you do have to take risks. I say necessary risks because they don't have to be big risks. For example, I still work full-time while blogging. Not everyone has the luxury to leave one thing and start on another. I listened to a podcast (called WorkLife with Adam Grant) recently where they interviewed Ava Duvernay, the famous filmmaker. She used to work in public relations. They talked about how she juggled both her old job and her newer creative projects prior to making the leap to full-time filmmaking. She said, "Are you gonna do that in the prime time or the spare time? I'd rather do that in the spare time". You and the universe can decide what works best here.
  9. Celebrate every win: every time you show up for your dream is a win. Every time you someone tells you, in person or online, that they like your work is a win. Any time you get a new subscriber (welcome new ones!) is a huge win! Every person who supports you matters. Every moment matters. Celebrate all of them. You are worth it!
  10. Rest: This is an important and understated step in creation. In rest mode, you receive new ideas. You also get to reflect on old ones. It's hard to create or figure out your purpose/vision when you're frantic. Be easy on yourself.

It can be easy to get down on yourself, if you feel like you are not where you need to be. And just remember, you are right where you need to be. It's all a process and it's okay for the process to take its time. As you take one step, the next steps will become more clear to you.

And that's a wrap! Hope everyone is doing well! Please reach out if you have any questions or want to connect.

Sending love,
